Iron Roots Fitness is a strength-focused training facility in Midtown Sacramento built on high standards, intentional coaching, and a strong community culture. We specialize in small-group strength training that prioritizes proper movement, long-term progress, and confidence both inside and outside the gym.
We are looking for a Group Strength Coach who is passionate about coaching people, not just running workouts and wants to grow within a professional coaching environment.
This is an ideal role for a coach who values education, mentorship, and doing things the right way.
What You’ll Do
Coach small-group strength training classes (6–12 clients per session)
Teach and reinforce proper lifting technique, movement quality, and safety
Deliver clear coaching cues, progressions, and regressions
Create a welcoming, motivating, and professional class environment
Build relationships with members and contribute to community culture
Assist with class setup, breakdown, and overall floor flow
Uphold Iron Roots coaching standards, values, and expectations
Programming is provided. Your role is to coach it at a high level.

Qualifications
Required:
CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain before start date)
Experience coaching or assisting in group or personal training settings
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to coach foundational strength movements safely
Preferred (not required):
National certification (NASM, NSCA, StrongFirst, ISSA, etc.)
Background in strength training, barbell training, or kettlebells
Desire to pursue further education or certifications
Interest in a long-term coaching path
