Regional Sales Manager : Metal Fabrication OEM

Location : IL / WI

About the Company

Snelling ProSearch is partnering with a leading OEM of automated fabrication machinery and turnkey automation solutions to find a talented Regional Sales Manager. This renowned laser cutting and press brake manufacturer is seeking a driven and experienced sales professional to join their team.This is a prime territory with top-performing customers, and it's essential that we hire the most qualified candidate to ensure continued success.

Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities :

  • Strategically target and engage manufacturers / fabricators in the assigned territory (IL / WI) to promote and sell the company's advanced laser cutting and press brake solutions.
  • Develop and execute a territory growth plan in alignment with the National Sales Manager, focusing on expanding market share and exceeding sales targets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations, understanding their unique needs, challenges, and production requirements.
  • Provide expert consultation and present tailored solutions that leverage the company's cutting-edge technology to address customer pain points and optimize their manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations that highlight the competitive advantages and superior performance of the company's systems.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments through continuous learning, research, and networking.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams (engineering, applications, service) to ensure seamless customer support and satisfaction.
  • Travel extensively within the designated territory to build relationships, identify new opportunities, and secure sales.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of proven sales success in the machine tool industry or a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on capital equipment sales.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a deep understanding of complex manufacturing processes, particularly sheet metal fabrication.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute territory growth strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with customers at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Compensation and Benefits :

  • Highly competitive compensation package with a base salary and uncapped commission structure ($125,000+ upwards of $200,000 OTE DOE).
