Mainframe Developer

Our client is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join their team. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be part of the IT support team supporting critical banking applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

Support and enhance the Hogan tool application with custom overlays to meet business needs.

Utilize your experience in mainframe programming, including Cobol and Assembler, to develop and maintain robust solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the mainframe environment.

What's Needed?

4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.

Understanding of Cobol and ability to program on the mainframe.

At least 1+ years of basic understanding of Assembler language.

Knowledge of EZTRIEVE and familiarity with VSAM, CICS, JCL, PROC, Endeavor, CA7, MQ, and related tools.

Preferred banking experience and familiarity with Data Space, ServiceNow, Agile, FMMVS, and testing practices.
