[job_card.job_description]Assist the dentist in all chairside procedures. Take X-rays and process diagnostic images. Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients. Ensure patients feel comfortable and understand their procedures. Maintain accurate treatment notes and charting. Prepare and sanitize treatment areas, instruments, and equipment. Support sterilization protocols and infection control guidelines. Take impressions for study models and appliances. Prepare dental materials for fillings, crowns, and bridges. Provide suctioning and isolation during procedures. Assist with placing and removing temporary restorations. Handle instrument sterilization and inventory management. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols. Track and manage inventory and supply restocking. Assist the front office as needed with scheduling and patient inquiries. Dental assisting experience Orthodontic experience, preferred Colorado X-Ray certification Current BLS certification
Orthodontic Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant provides direct support to the dentist by preparing treatment areas, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a sterile and organized environment. The role also involves patient interaction, charting, and adherence to infection control standards to deliver quality dental care.
