Job Description

The Assistant Buyer position is responsible for supporting all aspects within their assigned category, including data management, forecasting, trend analysis, and assortment planning. This position will work within the inventory management system to maintain and monitor inventory levels. This team member works closely with Buyers and the Head Merchant and is a career pathway opportunity to the Buyer position.

Responsibilities

• Style building and maintenance of assigned products
• Data entry to support Buyers
• Ensure data integrity on all items
• Produces vendor purchase orders
• Performs assigned purchase order maintenance tasks
• Replenishment of purchase orders that support in stock, sales, margin
• Application of Rally House inventory management system
• Key replenishment orders as directed
• Inventory management

Skills and Knowledge

Able to communicate with others in a clear and confident manner, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Exceptional verbal, writing, and analytical skills, Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications

Proficient Excel experience required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items up to 25lbs, and to walk short distances.
