Machine Operator

Overview

This positionis responsible forbasic production of automotive valvetrain components working with machinery and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates/maintains machines in the assembly area.
• Makes adjustments on a variety of production machines, such as testing or assembly equipment.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced.
• Reads blueprints and uses fixed gages.
• Finished and scrap material tagging, location and disposition.
• Identify physical damage to body surfaces.
• Identify scrap and prevention.
• Read/comprehend and follow all safety instructions and procedures.
• Report all safety incidents, violations and/or occurrences to your leader and supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds continuously.
• Read and interpret gages.
• Add and subtract whole numbers.
• Must be able to interpret screen data for rejects, station status, etc.
• Ability to recover from minor faults
• Housekeeping and 6S responsibilities
• Tagging and disposition of all finished product and scrap
• Manufacturing/assembly line experience is a plus.

All employees must be available to work overtime and weekends as required. Available positions may be on an off-shift. All candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening .
