Equipment Engineer, Reman

What to Expect The Tesla Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to troubleshoot, develop, and optimize equipment, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling for production. Based at our Lathrop facility. This role ensures the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of equipment used in Production. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, manage tooling designs, train technicians, and drive initiatives to maximize overall equipment effectiveness and manufacturing efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the subject matter expert for equipment, troubleshooting issues related to yield, quality, downtime, and safety
• Manage equipment projects from concept to production, including design, validation, and ramp-up
• Design and upgrade tooling, fixtures, and machine stations using SolidWorks, GD&T, and FEA / CFD analyses
• Define requirements for outsourced tooling, collaborate with vendors, and establish Tesla standards
• Use tools like Minitab / JMP for data analysis to improve processes and performance
• Partner with Design, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to achieve production goals
• Train technicians on maintenance procedures and downtime recovery best practices

Expected Compensation $72,000 - $151,200 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
