What would I be doing?

Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino and Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Casino and Hotel has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar Casino and Hotel is seeking a Food Server to serve breakfast in our new outlet, Sugo. The successful candidate will serve food and beverages to guests in a quick, efficient and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a smile!

Must be familiar with menu, daily specials, and preparation of foods and prices

Use suggestive selling (i.e., cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.)

Take customer’s orders and accurately input the order into the computer

Observe and anticipate guest’s needs, keeping table cleared between courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal

Present check for payment when all guests’ needs have been met

Practice good safety procedures

Adhere to department and property policies and procedures

This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
