Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an experienced Breaker/ Floater with a qualifying letter to join our team! We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with age groups, from young toddler to toddlers. The ideal candidate will be energetic, happy, and reliable.

** You will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, recent TB test, and physical before your first day.

Pay starts between $16.00 - $19.00 based on education and experience.

* After probation period we do evaluations every 60 days. If you meet all requirements for our program, you will be able to get a raise at each evaluation.

Benefits:

Responsibilities:

• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
• Fill in for the teach when they are out and follow their lesson plan
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
• Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Desired Candidate

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)
• TB test and Physical
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
