Landscape Construction Superintendent

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with Project Managers to review project scopes, client expectations, and specific tasks for each project.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring field employees.
• Organize crews and develop daily and weekly work plans.
• Forecast and coordinate material needs for projects with the Project Manager.
• Manage project budgets and ensure operations remain within financial parameters.
• Understand and enforce job site safety rules and requirements.
• Safely operate and train team members on the use of landscape construction equipment and power tools.
• Conduct safety checks of trucks, trailers, and equipment before dispatch.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment each day.
• Support Foremen as needed, stepping in during absences or to assist on complex tasks.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and maintain proper training documentation.
• Maintain accurate and timely project and crew documentation.
• Oversee equipment maintenance processes and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Drive company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment as required.
• Uphold professional appearance and represent the company positively on-site.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and lead by example.
• Serve on the on-call rotation team for client emergency support (approximately one week, four times per year).
• Communicate effectively with clients, both by phone and in person, as needed.
