Vice President of Information and Technology &Systems (CTO)

Our client is a large privately held company located in Orange County and they are seeking an innovative VP/Head of IT & IS to lead our technology strategy, overseeing the Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) departments. This leader will drive digital transformation, enhance retail software and hardware infrastructure, and integrate AI-driven solutions to optimize operations and customer experience. Responsible for developing and executing the company's technology roadmap, this role ensures that all IT and IS functions align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep expertise in retail technology, enterprise IT infrastructure, AI-driven innovation, and cybersecurity. Experience in large-scale retail operations, point-of-sale (POS) systems, ERP solutions, and emerging AI applications in retail is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT & IS strategy that aligns with business goals while driving technological advancements.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, and data analytics.
• Implement AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement.
• Lead and develop IT & IS teams, fostering an innovative and solution-driven culture.
• Manage and optimize IT infrastructure across corporate and multi-location retail operations.
• Oversee the implementation and enhancement of retail technology systems, including POS, ERP, WMS, and CRM.
• Ensure strong cybersecurity measures and compliance with industry regulations.
• Strengthen IT support frameworks to enhance service reliability for in-store and e-commerce operations.
• Establish disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align IT objectives with business goals.
• Manage vendor relationships to optimize technology partnerships and system performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in IT & IS leadership, with expertise in enterprise infrastructure, digital transformation, and retail IT operations.
• Experience managing multi-location retail IT systems and omnichannel e-commerce integration.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or similar are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, ERP, WMS, CRM, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI-driven retail solutions.
• Experience in big data analytics, IoT-enabled retail technologies, and machine learning applications.
• Strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
