Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bilingual Front Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk while providing excellent customer service to patients. This position focuses primarily on administrative and patient-facing responsibilities in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner.

Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately.

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

Collect co-payments and verify insurance information.

Assist patients with questions regarding billing and previous balances.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Obtain and update patient demographic and insurance information.

Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments as needed.

Provide general administrative support to clinical staff and providers.

Ensure the front office area is organized and welcoming at all times.

Requirements

Must possess a Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Fluent in Spanish and English.

Flexibility to float as needed basis to other locations.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Professional demeanor with patients, families, and staff.

Prior experience in a medical front office or healthcare setting preferred.
