Job Title : Mechanical Assembler
Location : Richmond, VA, 23231
Compensation : $21-22, Based on experience
Schedule : Monday – Friday 6 : 00am – 2 : 30pm
Position Summary :
Working under moderate to direct supervision, the Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling components based on their understanding of the product or by following technical manuals and diagrams. This role involves using hand tools, power wrenches, gauges, and other power tools to carry out tasks on the assembly line.
Essential Functions of the Job :
- Assemble and install hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
- Secure parts and subassemblies with appropriate fasteners (bolts, screws, clips, etc.) using torque wrenches and other tools.
- Position and attach major components such as engine blocks and fan housings to the chassis using hoists and alignment tools.
- Operate equipment such as drills, riveting machines, and hydraulic crimpers to support assembly tasks.
- Identify, organize, and distribute parts to designated assembly areas; record work orders and inventory transactions accurately.
- Perform functional tests on completed assemblies and operate forklifts or hoists as needed to support production flow.
- Other duties as assigned.
