TITLE: Senior Mechanical Engineer – Commercial / MEP Systems
LOCATION: Middleburg Heights, OH (open to candidates within a 2-3 hour radius of Cleveland, OH, including Toledo, Dayton, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and surrounding areas)
TRAVEL: Up to 25% for worksite visits; remote candidates must work on-site at BG Headquarters in Middleburg Heights, OH, at least once per week.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a leading role in the design and engineering of complex HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional projects. You'll apply deep technical expertise to develop solutions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality designs on schedule and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all aspects of HVAC and plumbing system design for complex commercial and institutional projects.
Develop conceptual and detailed design solutions that meet performance, cost, and sustainability goals.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and project management teams from concept through construction.
Mentor junior engineers and designers, reviewing calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Conduct site visits and provide engineering support during construction.
Ensure compliance with design standards, codes, and project budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
7+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience with a consulting engineering firm or MEP contractor.
Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE 700 or newer).
Deep understanding of building mechanical systems, design standards, and construction methods.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
P.E. license preferred.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25%.
