Surveillance Operator

Act as oversight and security agent for management and customers. Observe casinos for irregular activities. Usually required to provide verbal and written reports of all violations and suspicious behavior to supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Documents procedure infractions
2. Documents incidents of theft, etc.
3. Conducts or assigns Close Watch or other special surveillance
4. Informs Director of special observation requests
5. Forwards all reports to Director
6. Recommends Close Watch on personnel observed to be acting suspiciously
7. Makes proper notifications of Gaming and other violations
8. Represents Director in his absence
9. Performs all other duties, as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission. 3-5 years of experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations about the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draws valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Work involves lifting, walking, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, and climbing. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times. The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level. Will occasionally work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
