Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript)

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join a team of 13 Engineers focused on building next generation cloud web applications and continuous delivery software. This software product has been named a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant. You will develop complex server to agent communications, many to many communications involving 100,000+ simultaneous agents, 100’s of Objects can be referenced in code. Recently they made an enhancement to increase automation without impacting any code. The biggest challenge for that effort was understanding the code base. The primary goals moving forward are adding more functionality to support their customers, make calls faster, & improve efficiency.

This platform manages over 65,000 code deployments per month! A few of their customers include Bank of America, Ford, Wells Fargo, State Farm, & Citibank.

  20% Support (Have 3 support people in India, plan to move all support away from Cleveland team)
• 5% Requirements
• 10% Design
• 40% Code/Test (Agile Dev Process)
• 20% Mentor/Coach (They lack skills in mentoring to get people up to speed.)
• 5% Lab Advocate (Skunkworks ideas)
• 80% Server Side Java (v7 to current)
• 20% Client Side JavaScript, CSS

Not many meetings in this environment for the development staff. 9:30am daily stand-ups for Agile process.
