• This position provides technical leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day oversight for a group of NDI engineers. The role balances strategic project execution with hands-on involvement on the production line and aircraft, ensuring that inspection processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with long-term sustainment and producibility goals. This position serves as a conduit between engineering, production, and executive leadership while fostering a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Top 3-5 skills / technologies and qualifications required : Ultrasonic Inspection, NADCAP compliance, AS9100 and NAS410 knowledge

Team Player, Mentor, Trainer, Problem Solver, Communication, Executive presence.

10+ Experience as a Responsible Level III. Understand special process audits. Technique and procedure writing. Understanding of risk assessments and surveillance.

UT and ET certifications level II or III.

Description : Responsibilities :

The Sr. Principal Non-Destructive Testing Engineer is responsible for the inspection of rocket motors, composite aerospace components, and other energetic and non-energetic articles. This position is responsible for developing and implementing unique nondestructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures. Works with design, project, and quality engineers through the development process to select and implement the best NDT method to ensure product quality at lowest cost.
