COUCHBASE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

TALLAHASSEE, FL

W2 CONTRACT

The consultant must demonstrate at minimum :

Database Management / Administration – Install, configure, administer, and support Couchbase Server instances, including NoSQL data storage and retrieval.

Performance Optimization – Monitor and maintain database / bucket health, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement sound solutions; includes Couchbase index creation, management, and tuning.

Capacity Planning – Plan and manage database / bucket capacity to meet current and future needs (storage, memory, processing power).

Backup and Recovery – Define and implement robust backup and archival strategies to ensure data integrity and enable quick recovery.

Security – Implement and maintain database security measures (access control, encryption, patching, auditing).

Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve database / bucket issues, including performance problems, errors, and security breaches.

Collaboration – Work with end users and developers to design schemas and troubleshoot data access and manipulation issues.

Automation – Automate routine tasks (backups, monitoring, maintenance) using scripts and tools.

Documentation – Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the Couchbase environment (configurations, procedures, troubleshooting).

Replication – Manage Cross Data Center Replication (XDCR) of the Couchbase environment.

Upgrades – Perform SDK library, kernel, and operating system upgrades for Couchbase

Preferred Experience :

4–10 years as a Couchbase Database Administrator.
