Sapphire Health Services is currently seeking a dedicated Med Tech to join our team and uphold our commitment to excellence.
JOB SUMMARY :
A Medical Technician (Med Tech) will play an essential role in delivering compassionate care to residents within a community-based care setting. This position involves providing direct care, administering medications, monitoring patient health, and supporting overall wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to high-quality care.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Fostersa supportive, compassionate environment for our residents and their families
- Medication Administration : Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures and maintaining accurate medication records
- Report changes in residents' conditions to appropriate team members
- Assistance with Daily Living : Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Care Coordination : Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare professionals to create and maintain individual care plans for each resident
- Documentation : Accurately document all care, medications, and any observed changes in residents' conditions in accordance with company policies
- Emergency Response : Act promptly and calmly in emergencies, following established protocols to ensure resident safety
- Family Communication : Communicate with residents' families regarding health status, medication changes, and overall care updates, fostering trust and transparency
- Compliance : Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies regarding healthcare and safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care or community based careAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPatience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help othersGood organizational and time-management skillsAbility to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobilityMust be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periodsAbility to pass a background checkExperience : Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care, or community-based careSkills : Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independentlyPhysical Requirements : Ability to lift and move residents as needed, as well as stand, walk, and sit for extended periodsEMPLOYEE BENEFITS :
