ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Locum Thoracic Physician to provide acute-care, hospital-based thoracic surgical coverage. This role offers the opportunity to support a respected thoracic surgery team, performing a full range of thoracic procedures and managing adult and geriatric patients. Providers will deliver essential backup coverage for an established two-provider team. Dates / Schedule

Confirmed Dates (more to follow) :

  • January 16 (5 : 00 p.m.) January 19 (7 : 00 a.m.)
  • February 6 (5 : 00 p.m.) February 9 (7 : 00 a.m.)

Coverage Dates : Multiple dates in 2026

Call Schedule : TBD

  • Reason for Coverage : Backup for two-provider thoracic team
  • Practice Setting : Hospital-based, primarily acute care
  • Average Cases per Day : 2 3

  • EMR : EPIC
  • Ancillary Support : OR, ICU, hospitalist support
  • Patient Population : Adult and geriatric

  • Segmentectomy, Lobectomy, Bilobectomy, Pneumonectomy
  • Thoracotomy, Decortication

    • Additional Required / Preferred Areas of Care

  • Achalasia, Advanced Lung Disease (COPD, pulmonary fibrosis)
  • Anti-reflux / GERD surgery
  • Barrett s esophagitis
  • Chest wall tumors / reconstruction
  • Diaphragm plication, diaphragmatic hernias
  • Dysphagia, esophageal cancer
  • Lung cancer, lung nodules
  • Mediastinal masses, mesothelioma
  • Pleural effusion, pneumothorax
  • Rib fractures / plating
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Thymomas
  • Tracheal stenosis, tracheostomy

    • Credentialing
