As an Adult Respiratory Therapist, you will work independently in various acute and critical care settings, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare personnel to make informed treatment recommendations. Your expertise will be essential for treating patients across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

We provide a competitive sign-on bonus for eligible full-time positions, including $7,500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience, and $5,000 for those with less than one year (must be licensed in South Carolina). Accountabilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This role is non-management and reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina is required. Senior students graduating within the next three months are also encouraged to apply.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina (or eligible) or be a senior student about to graduate. BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Employees hired before June 2016 can hold Certified Respiratory Therapist status. New hires post-June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and complete the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of hire. Failure to pass the exam in this timeframe will result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are mandatory for those working in the Children's Hospital, specifically before independent work in the NICU and PICU.
