Position: Family Assistant

Schedule: Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm) with flexibility to work additional hours as needed

Location: Greenwich, CT

Salary: $85,000 annually plus health insurance stipend

Overview:

A private individual in Greenwich, CT, is seeking a bright, seasoned, and energetic live-out Family Assistant to oversee household operations and provide reliable support. Candidate must have excellent time management skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, with 5–7+ years of experience in private home settings and excellent references.

This role is ideal for someone proactive, adaptable, and discreet, with a positive "can-do" attitude and a talent for keeping a household running smoothly.

Duties:

• Organization, including vendor management, schedule services, oversee bill payment, and manage calendar and email correspondence
• Manage and proactively organize household spaces, including closets, pantries, and storage areas
• Supervise weekly cleaning team and ensure standards are maintained
• Prepare healthy, well-balanced meals
• Run errands (clothing, post office, dry cleaning, etc.)
• Maintain grocery and household inventory (online and in-person shopping), track down specialty items, and arrange deliveries as needed
• Keep the refrigerator organized and clean, disposing of expired foods
• Coordinate with contractors/vendors (repairmen, handymen, etc.), identify needed repairs, and address them with the principal
• Light housekeeping as needed to maintain order and overall tidiness
• Drive principal locally as needed and into NYC (approximately once per week)

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong cooking skills with an emphasis on healthy, fresh meals
• Respectful of privacy and committed to discretion
• Independent, resourceful, and proactive problem-solver
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Safe, experienced driver
