[job_card.job_description]Work in a Medical / Surgical Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital Patient population includes surgical patients following the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 5-6 Day shift position with 12-hour shifts from 6 : 45 to 19 : 15 Every other weekend is required On-call assignments are required Floating may occur to other MS / Tele units within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby Charting is performed using EPIC EMR and experience with EPIC is required Unit has 31 beds, with navy blue scrubs required Primary responsibility includes caring for surgical patients on an ERAS protocol Must be able to float to other MS / Tele units and affiliate hospitals as needed Facility is a Magnet Hospital Return staff must have been gone at least one year before working as a traveler Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract and no time off during first week of assignment Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing if applicable No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius Holiday and RTO expectations apply per facility policy No medical marijuana cards accepted Active IL RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele experience required First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 3 years of experience Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required EPIC charting experience required Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility References from supervisors within the past two years required No pending licensure accepted; license must be in hand High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
