Shipping Floor Logistics Associate -- Metals Processing

Own the flow of metal products from cut to cart to carrier. You will coordinate staging, cutting, packing, documentation, system updates, and equipment operation to ensure accurate and on-time shipments.

Core responsibilities

• Stage and organize the shipping floor for daily outbound orders
• Prepare orders to ship: package material and secure loads
• Weigh and measure material to confirm specifications
• Operate forklifts to move product around the facility
• Return unprocessed material to inventory locations
• Record transactions and maintain location accuracy in the ERP
• Attach packing slips and material certifications to orders
• Set up and operate metal cutting machinery; run bandsaws
• Use lifting equipment for safe material handling
• Perform housekeeping in the shipping area: sweep and pick up
• Support shipping/receiving; load and unload vehicles

Qualifications

• Skid steer operation
• Shipping/receiving experience
• Warehouse background with material handling
• Proven loading and unloading capability
• Packaging experience
• Meets physical requirements
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in shop math

Tools & tech you’ll use

• ERP software for transactions and location management
• Forklifts for materials movement
