Volunteer Coordinator- Community Health

The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in the directing and organizing of Parker's Community Health Volunteer Programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for the recruitment, selection, orientation, assignment, and ongoing supervision of the volunteers in Parker's Community Health volunteer program. You will interact and collaborate with families to determine the need for new volunteer services, and provide community outreach to expand volunteer opportunities for the program, among other related duties.

Position Qualifications :

College Degree

3-5 years of coordination experience in a related field

Prior experience supervising volunteers a plus

Prior experience working in a hospice or community health setting a plus

Experience in a health care or not for profit setting; prior experience in hospice a plus

Excellent communication and customer service skills
