Job Title : Robotics Welder

Job Description

Under close or minimum supervision, the Robotics Welder is responsible for welding sub-assembly and / or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. This includes utilizing the GMAW Process (MIG) Welding, as well as Air Arc Gouging of A36 to 4140 heat-treated steel in the flat, horizontal, and vertical planes. The role also involves performing on-line testing and / or inspection activities with minimal supervision, and cleaning and preparing units for the next operation in accordance with procedures. Compliance with all safety and hazardous material procedures is mandatory, including the use of protective equipment to meet or exceed OSHA and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld sub-assembly and finished products using GMAW Process (MIG) Welding.
• Perform Air Arc Gouging of A36 to 4140 heat-treated steel.
• Conduct on-line testing and inspection activities with minimal supervision.
• Clean and prepare units for subsequent operations.
• Adhere to all safety and hazardous material procedures, wearing protective equipment as required.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing shop that includes welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping. The facility is non-climate controlled, requiring the use of PPE such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and jeans. The shift runs from 6am to 2 : 30pm, but flexibility is required as operations occur between 5am and 4 : 30pm nearly every day, providing ample opportunities for overtime if desired.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00 / hr.
