Senior Project Manager Purpose of the Role
This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency and effectiveness through end-to-end project and program management across multiple industries. The Senior Project Manager leads day-to-day project management activities using established PMO standards, methodologies, and systems to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of client-facing initiatives.
The position applies disciplined project management practices to align delivery with organizational priorities, financial targets, and customer satisfaction objectives. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure projects meet budget, profitability, quality, and service-level expectations, while enabling a seamless transition from project delivery to ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute standardized PMO processes and methodologies across all phases of project delivery, including:
Project Planning: initiation, estimation, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting
Project Controls: monitoring progress, identifying risks and conflicts, managing scope, schedule, cost, profit, and quality, and implementing corrective actions
Relationship Management: client engagement, project team leadership, and change management
- Support proposal development and assist with contract and subcontract negotiations in collaboration with sales and legal teams
- Prepare and manage project-related contractual documentation, including Statements of Work, master service agreements, licensing agreements, and post-implementation support arrangements
- Develop comprehensive project roadmaps aligned with stakeholder input, including work breakdown structures, requirements definition, cost estimates, milestone schedules, risk plans, and communication strategies
- Establish project milestones and ensure adherence to approved schedules and delivery plans;proactively resolve delivery challenges through resource allocation or scope adjustments
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, including technical, professional, and administrative contributors
- Manage project execution using a pragmatic blend of project management methodologies to achieve KPIs, financial targets, service levels, and client satisfaction objectives
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects, facilitating regular project reviews addressing cost, schedule, risks, and performance
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagements or support enhancement initiatives, including managing estimates, approvals, and delivery planning
- Communicate project status, risks, and performance metrics to leadership, steering committees, and key stakeholders
- Proactively manage project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate to ensure timely resolution
- Promote collaboration across departments to support organizational priorities and successful project delivery
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and maturity of project management practices within the PMO
- Achieve performance targets and KPIs established by leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, or similar) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within a technology or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of delivering complex projects while balancing customer experience and financial performance
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience managing risk, resolving conflict, and leading cross-functional teams
- Ability to work effectively across multiple internal functions to optimize delivery and resolve issues
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- End-to-end process mindset with experience leading organizational change and managing its impact
- Experience exercising sound judgment in managing team and performance-related challenges
- Proficiency with common project, reporting, and business systems (e.G., scheduling tools, document management platforms, CRM/ERP systems)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%
Supervisory Responsibility
This role may provide project leadership and direction to assigned team members but does not have formal people-management responsibility.
