Job Title : Lab Technician
Job Description
The Lab Technician position plays a pivotal role in supporting lab operations and testing for the Identity Department team. This position involves identifying, analyzing, and suggesting corrective actions to optimize laboratory operations, technology, and equipment. The technician is responsible for handling sample inventory, assisting the HPTLC team with sample preparation, and conducting routine testing. Ensuring high-quality standards by adhering to good housekeeping practices, GMPs, and regulatory compliance procedures is crucial. In addition to routine tasks, the technician may be assigned research and special projects relevant to department and company needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good housekeeping practices to support the HPTLC lab, including organizing reference standards and reference samples, and cleaning glassware.
- Prepare samples for identity testing to support the HPTLC Chemist prep stage.
- Prepare solutions and mobile phases to support identity testing.
- Execute assigned projects and activities in compliance with SOPs, GLP, cGMP, and FDA & DEA regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of records and laboratory notebooks as required by SOPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Execute and organize departmental purchasing of consumables and chemicals.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned, including general laboratory housekeeping and documentation.
Essential Skills
. in Chemistry is required, a degree in Biochemistry is acceptable but not preferred.Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemistry laboratory.Demonstrated skills in bench chemistry, including operation of balances, pipettes, pH meter, and volumetric transfers.Technical skills in basic chemistry and math, with the ability to independently execute quantitative calculations and analyze data.Ability to consistently prepare volumetric solutions and test solutions.Acute attention to detail and competency in following Standard Operating Procedures.Advanced proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.Experience with FDA Code of Federal Regulations 21 and cGMP guidelines is preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Industry-related experience is a plus.Minimum of 2 years of college-level study; . degree preferred in chemistry, botany, or biology.Experience with Microsoft Access is preferred.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm, with very occasional overtime of up to one hour per day. The company performs third-party analytical testing for the nutraceutical industry, adhering to stringent FDA regulations. The environment is structured to ensure compliance and accuracy in proving the chemical content claimed by nutraceutical companies

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 / hr.
