- Devise tailored treatment strategies that address both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver dedicated speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work in synergy with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
- Provide educational support for patients and families to encourage progress outside the clinical setting.
- Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Keep updated with industry advances through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Education - A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting the position.
