Location : West Phoenix | Monday – Friday | 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM

Pay : Starting at $24 / hr DOE

About the Position : Materials Buyer / Production Planner

Wise Staffing Group is seeking a Buyer / Planner to support our client’s operations in the remanufacturing of automatic transmissions. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials across all production stages—from teardown and inspection to assembly and shipment.

Alternate Title : Buyer / Planner (non-bilingual candidates also considered)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Request quotes and place part orders based on lists from teardown and inspection teams
  • Source components with attention to cost, lead time, and quality
  • Accurately enter and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system
  • Monitor daily backlog reports to support production flow
  • Track order status and ensure timely receipt of materials
  • Coordinate with production teams to resolve part shortages or delays
  • Communicate purchasing updates across departments
  • Take ownership of material flow in your assigned area and troubleshoot proactively

What We're Looking For :

  • Background in manufacturing, materials planning, or production support
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles; Kanban experience a plus
  • Mechanical, automotive, or aerospace experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • ERP system experience (purchase orders, inventory management, etc.)
  • Proven ability to multitask and collaborate across teams
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred but not required
