AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Planner to be based in Coral Gables FL .

This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

  • Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans programs and regulations.
  • Reviews or assists in the review of development proposals and transportation plans for conformance with codes plans and regulations.
  • Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.
  • Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics such as census information land use transportation tax base data and occupancy rates.
  • Assists in evaluating re-zonings ordinance amendments site plans special use permits variances and other proposals.
  • Coordinates community review of public and private development projects.
  • Provides information to the public regarding transportation plans.
  • Assists in resolving citizen and customer issues.
  • Under direct supervision conducts field evaluations and assessments.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelors Degree in Urban Studies Civil Engineering or another related field.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Previous internship project or co-op experience.

    • Additional Information :

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or int eh future for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Coral Gables FL. The selected candidate must be available to work in Coral Gables FL on a scheduled basis.
