- THIS POSITION WILL PAY BETWEEN $115,000 - $120,000 DEPENDING ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
SUMMARY
The Program Director manages faculty and other academic staff and ensures effective leadership of his
or her department and students. In addition, the Program Director is responsible for all applicable
accreditation commission standards or agency regulations as well as all programmatic outcomes. The
Program Director is also required to implement, monitor, and uphold all applicable policies and
procedures to ensure effective functioning of the department. All Concorde associates are required to
display professionalism and uphold Concorde's Mission and the core values of respect for the individual,
integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.
Responsibilities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Set the example and be the role model for professionalism and conduct for program staff andstudents
Ensure academic quality of the instruction provided to the studentsParticipate in student, campus, and community activities as requiredActively participate in the local professional community to raise awareness of Concorde, enhance student opportunity, and build the professional networkResponsible for recruiting, training, orienting, and supervising faculty members for the departmentEnsure faculty are providing active and engaging learning experiences to students within arespectful environment that is conducive to learning, and focused on student satisfaction and
positive results
Participate in and document ongoing faculty and professional development activities including anyContinuing Education Units (CEUs) that may be required for certification or licensure where required by law. This also includes ensuring these activities are occurring and documented for faculty
Adhere to Concorde policies and accreditor standards
Ensure the safety of the department meets legal and regulatory guidelines and standards of theprogram
Conduct and document regular department staff / faculty meetingsEnsure faculty files are maintained and complete as per the Academic Dean's requirementsAssist with ongoing review and development of program curriculumEnsure that all appropriate surveys are conducted timely and reviewed effectivelyProvide regular performance feedback, including formal classroom observations, to all faculty asappropriate and be open to coaching from Academic Dean
Advise, coach and mentor students as appropriate and necessaryProvide support and supervision to ensure programmatic and institutional completion, licensure and placement outcomes are metEnsure compliance with all requirements of programmatic and institutional accreditors including advisory committee meetings, scheduled and unannounced visits, annual reports, self-studies, and responseReview and ensure accurate and timely course, student, and faculty schedulingAssist with and attend graduation as requestedTeach classes as and when necessary and as permitted by any programmatic accreditorAssist with student orientationsParticipate in the budgeting process and supervise procurement to ensure that program needs are metReview and assist with implementation of the Satisfactory Academic Progress process, including grade audits and timely completion of student advisingPerform other duties, as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Must have a full-time appointment as defined by the institution, whose primary responsibility is for operation, supervision, evaluation, and revision of the programMust have the authority and responsibility necessary to fulfill program goals including curriculum development, evaluation and revision faculty recruitment, assignments, and supervision; input into faculty evaluation; initiation of program or department in-service and faculty development; assessing, planning, and operating program facilities; input into budget preparation and fiscal administration, coordination, evaluation, and participation in determining admission criteria and procedures as well as student promotion and retention criteria.Must be a dental hygienist who is a graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and possess a masters or higher degree, OR a dentist who has a background in education and the professional experience necessary to understand and fulfill the program goals.Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association (required within 30 days of employment)Management experience requiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsKnowledge and ability to judge instructors' competence and effectivenessThis position requires a strong attention to details and a positive, professional attitudeTHIS POSITION WILL PAY BETWEEN $115,000 - $120,000 DEPENDING ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
