Insurance Defense Attorney

Our client, one of the largest and most dynamic business and litigation law firms in the region, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join their dynamic litigation team out of Manchester, NH.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in various settlement negotiations
• Participate in arbitration and mediations
• Take and defend depositions
• Effectively develop litigation and claims strategies
• Advise clients on all litigation risks
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
• Utilize e-discovery software where applicable
• Argue motions and cases in state and federal courts
• Collaborate on matters with the Litigation team and senior partners as needed
• Assist and mentor more junior Attorneys
• Manage insurance defense matters, including first-party property claims, personal injury, premises liability, and professional liability

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of insurance defense litigation experience (coverage, bodily injury, property damage, etc.)
• Strong deposition, and trial preparation skills
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral presentation and advocacy abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and matters in a fast-paced environment
• New Hampshire Bar admission is required; admission in MA, ME, or VT is a plus
