Job SummaryResponsible for careful and accurate compiling of information on each Functions

• Greets patients and their families with friendly attitude
• Responsible for careful and accurate compiling of information on each patient registered for inpatient or outpatient care at SoutheastHEALTH
• Responsible for patient’s right to privacy and maintaining confidentiality
• Answers office telephone promptly and courteously
• Accepts payments for SoutheastHEALTH
• Carefully and accurately balances cash drawer at the end of the day
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the department by sending work orders for special cleaning needs
• Performs office duties with awareness of what needs to be done and how to achieve it
• Keeps current on changes in policy and procedures
• Performs job regularly with little or no direction and supervision
• Handles business inquiries satisfactory
• Duties require interaction with different patient age groups, i.e. neonate, child, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, and requires recognition that different age groups require specialized attention or care
• Performs other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
• Experience in a detail oriented or public contact work environment preferred
