Job Title : Embedded Software Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. You will play a vital role in addressing and resolving pipeline issues, supporting global development teams, and enhancing the reliability of our hardware systems.
Responsibilities
- Be present in the lab every working day to swiftly address pipeline issues for global development teams.
- Assess and integrate new boards as they arrive.
- Assemble Raspberry Pis and build servers.
- Provision servers using automation infrastructure, such as Ansible.
- Conduct maintenance on hardware modifications, including soldering, new pin connections, and adding new test setups.
- Improve pipeline hardware reliability by recording issues and investigating root causes.
- Manage inventory, including updating boards to newer versions and purchasing and organizing new items.
- Support the constant expansion of the pipeline.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in C, MCU, RTOS.Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.Experience with C / C++.Ability to manage a Linux device.Proficiency with lab tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in provisioning servers using automation tools like Ansible.Experience in assembling and maintaining Raspberry Pis and build servers.Work Environment
The role requires a 50 / 50 split between lab work and other duties. The work environment includes working with advanced technologies and equipment, ensuring a dynamic and engaging setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00 / hr.
