Job Title: Petroleum Inspector
Job Description
As a Petroleum Inspector, you will engage in the sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories, and barge inspections, including conducting line condition surveys. You will be responsible for unsupervised gauging and sampling of shore tanks and client terminals, emphasizing timely isolated sampling and gauging to meet job requirements. Additionally, you will act as a field representative, obtaining, labeling, and transporting samples to the laboratory while ensuring all inspection equipment is well-maintained, calibrated, and stored. You will measure products, perform necessary field calculations according to API Standards, and submit comprehensive reports to the Operations Department. Specialized inspection services, such as loss control, wall washings, or confined space entry, will be performed upon receiving required training.
Responsibilities
Conduct sampling, pipeline transfers, and inventories.
Perform barge inspections and line condition surveys.
Gauge and sample shore tanks and client terminals independently.
Obtain, label, and transport samples to the laboratory.
Ensure inspection equipment is well-maintained and calibrated.
Measure products, perform field calculations, and submit reports.
Provide specialized inspection services after training.
Commute to terminals in IL, IN, and MI.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in petroleum inspection.
Proficiency in gauging, sampling, transfers, and barge inspections.
Ability to perform temperature checks.
High School Diploma or equivalent with strong math skills.
Completion of Inspector level training and passing of related tests.
Valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC) or ability to obtain one.
Possession of a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, insurance, and registration.

High School Diploma.
Possession of a cell phone.
Reliable transportation.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
