Quality Manager Industrial
Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles for municipal and industrial uses. They are a mid-sized organization with over 300 employees on-site. They are ISO 9001 certified and truly value the importance of quality as they look to improve current and implement new quality practices and procedures. They have brought in several new executive leaders to help modernize the organization.
Job Description
Collaborates with internal and external operations leadership to report on overall quality performance.
Works closely with cross-functional and operational teams to develop, communicate, and execute business and operational strategies.
Implements strong Operational Quality practices and methodologies, including Product Qualification / Validation, Process Controls, Non-Conforming Material Trending, Quality Systems, Statistical Methods, Supplier Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and Corrective / Preventive Action.
Ensures effective systems, validations, and controls are in place to support the transition of new products and technologies from development into full operational use.
Establishes rigorous systems to ensure corrective and preventive actions are consistently implemented, monitored, and controlled in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
Develops, monitors, and reports on departmental metrics and objectives.
Demonstrates strong and growing leadership capabilities; shows initiative with minimal supervision; possesses excellent interpersonal skills; collaborates effectively; and successfully manages a department within a technically complex, fast-paced operational environment.
Supports and guides company-wide Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Oversees the shipping department to ensure accurate, timely deliveries that create a positive customer experience.
Performs additional duties, assignments, and special projects as needed.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree (Engineering-related preferred)
5+ years of managerial experience
Understanding of ISO 9001 guidelines and QMS
Problem-solving experience (5 Why's, Fishbone, or DMAIC)
Experience implementing changes / efficiencies within a quality department
Experience in a customer manufacturing environment is a plus
Comfortable and experience being hands-on

Base salary between $120,000-$140,000
