What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Product Development Design Engineer I and can expect to be involved in the following:

• Modifying existing primary structure on Airbus Commercial Aircraft.

• Document designs on engineering drawings and coordinate with support organizations.

• Typical tools used by our Graduates are: CATIA V5, VPM, and various PLM tools

• In the first few months you will learn: Airbus CATIA modelling techniques, configuration management concepts, drawing methodologies, and data release processes

• You will learn the concepts of structural design and how to apply the concepts.

• Overseas placements are determined on either project need basis or employee development need. US based rotational placements will center on Airbus Americas Engineering locations.

• Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

• Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Product Development Design Engineer I!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

• A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study

• Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis and mechanics of materials. (0 - 3 years experience)

• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.

• Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship
