General Description / Primary Purpose The Director of Graduate School Engagement, Outreach & Support, under the direction of the Dean of the Graduate School serves as the primary staff member over graduate engagement, outreach and support. Essential Duties Job Function
  • Serve as advisor to the Graduate School Dean on graduate school engagement, outreach and support services providing proposals, recommendations and reports as needed.
  • Supervise Graduate School staff in the implementation of marketing, outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Strategize, oversee, and assess the Graduate School’s marketing and recruitment efforts both internally and externally including marketing materials and events, social media, and collaboration with university and community partners.
  • Assist academic programs in the development of new graduate programs to grow graduate enrollment and meet local industry needs, including express and accelerated programs linking undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
  • Assist with developing community and industry partnerships to enhance the Graduate School including collaboration with Industry Engagement and University Development, and identifying opportunities for internships, jobs, funding, tuition reimbursement, etc.
  • Assist academic programs in efforts to identify and obtain funding for graduate student training, development, and fellowships.
  • Promote graduate student research through collaborating with the Office of Undergraduate Research and planning and participation in campus and professional research events.
  • Support Graduate Program Directors, faculty, and staff in matters related to Graduate School engagement, outreach and support.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation and assessment of graduate student engagement opportunities.
  • Serve as liaison between the Graduate School and other university administrative offices, such as Enrollment Services, college advising units, and Marketing and Communications.
  • Represent the Graduate School on various UNF committees such as the Distance Learning Committee, Graduate School Advisory Board, and the Graduate Council.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and six years of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and eight years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 12 years of direct experience. Faculty Position Required Qualifications NA Departmental Requirements -Experience working with graduate education and/or marketing and social media;-Demonstrated leadership skills;-Excellent written and verbal communication;-Evidence of successful collaborations with a variety of organizations and constituents;-Willingness to represent the Graduate School on campus, with community partners and at professional conferences and events. This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session.
