Title : RRT – Pediatrics

Location : Plattsburgh, NY

Duration : 16 weeks

Shift : Night Shift – 3x12 hours (19 : 00–07 : 30)

Job Responsibilities & Required / Preferred Skills :

Provide pediatric through adult respiratory care across a wide age range (neonate to geriatric).

Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and secretion clearance.

Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators, including Puritan Bennett 980 / 840 and LTV1200.

Administer respiratory medications, inhaled therapies, and aerosol treatments.

Perform respiratory assessments, ABG interpretation, and adjust care plans accordingly.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a large hospital environment.

Float to hospital floors as needed.

Work rotating weekends and holidays based on department needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Minimum 1 year experience in specialty (Pediatric RRT).

Epic charting experience required.

Certifications required :

BLS

ACLS

NRP

Ability to work rotating day / night 12-hour shifts.

Experience working in a Level II trauma environment (preferred but not required per job).

Travel experience required (no first-time travelers).

Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays, if applicable.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

Experience in teaching hospital environments.

Strong pediatric respiratory experience (neonate through adolescent).

Familiarity with Pyxis medication system.

Proficiency with : Ventilator weaning

CPAP / BiPAP

Airway management

ABG collection / interpretation

Ability to float and adapt in high-acuity care environments.
