Role : S&P Global Energy Summer Intern - (Commercial and CX team)

The Location : NYC (relocation assistance not available)

The Role : S&P Global Energy is seeking candidates that will be involved in working directly with our Commercial and CX teams. Interns will be given the opportunity to shadow and assist team members across functions such as Customer Success New Business Regional & Strategic Sales Commercial Specialists Marketing and Channel Partners.

Interns will gain exposure and be provided with foundational training covering commodities such as Oil Natural Gas Power Petrochemicals Shipping Agriculture Upstream Solution and Climate Solution. This will be through various deliverables including a group project; they will be able to build a foundational knowledge of the commodity markets develop essential business-related skills while learning about various S&P Global Energy data research and analytical products.

Interns will be heavily involved in project-based work supporting the business with its key initiatives.

The Team / The Business :

• You will be part of a global team in S&P Global Energy Commercial and CX (Client Experience).
• You will be introduced to world-class experts in various commodities including former chief economists traders and risk managers and will work towards producing presentations about how commodity markets work and provide insightful perspectives on global economic political technological and legal issues linked to their specializations.
• You will also be enrolled in an e-learning curriculum providing foundational knowledge about the technical aspects of various commodities in addition to business related trainings.
• We are looking for high achievers from a diverse pool of undergraduate & postgraduate institutions that are passionate about Client interaction providing superior customer and the commodities market.
• The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset which will help them to learn grow and connect during their time here. Someone who recognize opportunities and the value of taking risks.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $25 per hour. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications.
