Civil Construction Safety Manager (Greater Houston, TX area)

Looking for the best! Houston, TX fabricator is looking for their next Safety (EHS) Manager or Director within engineneering, fabrication and steel manufacturing. Great company to work with that has a excellent growth opportunities in the local HOUSTON area. Ideally someone with their CSP, CHST, STS, OSHT and EMT certifications or combination of them would be ideal!

Qualifications for EHS Manager:

New Construction / large scale projects with confidence in maintaining safety from start to finish, perform injury management including minor first aid, incident root cause investigation and reporting, return to work as needed
5+ years experience as acting Safety Manager, Director, Officer is needed, will observe and report around teams to cut out at - risk behavior while identify safety concerns and help to come up with corrective steps
Ability to Site Safety Coordinators on the job, maintain safe work practices and coordinate with various agencies for reporting and compliance with project documents and specification
Assist with developing, conducting, and documenting the job site, safety orientations for all new team members, subcontractors, and other appropriate vendors, visitors, etc
Develop and set up systems to ensure proper handling of all Hazardous Material Including proper use, storage, shipment, spill control and cleanup, and disposal
Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs, AED, CPR and First Aid Certification needed
Knowledge of engineering, fabrication, construction and has CHST, CSP, STS, OHST or OSHA 500 or prior experience a plus
Commercial, Industrial, Education, Healthcare, Municipal, Offices, Aviation, Sports and Entertainment, Religious and multfamily experience is all preferred!
