Database Engineer Intern

Internships at Zoox are reserved for those who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, activities outside their course work, aptitude, curiosity, and a passion for Zoox's mission.This team is responsible for providing database engineering solutions to production and research oriented databases which includes our robotaxi live service and databases which impact critical Zoox milestones.

In this Role, You will..

• Work with senior team leads to build automations that improve productivity for Zoox developers and the database engineering team.
• Collaborate with application developers to design efficient schemas, create indexes, and tune SQL queries for performance.
• Assist developers in troubleshooting database errors, slow queries, and data-related issues during feature development.
• Help build developer-friendly tools, dashboards, and scripts that simplify access to database metrics, logs, and query insights.

The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
