Delivery Coordinator
As a Delivery Coordinator, you will be responsible for operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to our valued professional customers. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of deliveries, collection of payments on C.O.D. deliveries, and retrieval of customer returns. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles for timely delivery of products and parts to customers.
- Utilize delivery fleet management devices to efficiently process deliveries, capture customer signatures, log vehicle mileage, and conduct daily inspections.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper maintenance of delivery vehicles while performing daily vehicle inspections prior to operation.
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected payments at all times.
- Facilitate the pickup of customer returns, documenting with a driver return slip.
- Communicate specific customer needs or concerns to store management promptly.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or damages immediately to the store manager.
- Ensure vehicle fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at the end of the business day.
- Comply with company policies regarding clocking in and out.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service tasks, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, and handling core returns.
- Assist customers and occasionally serve as a cashier or help with merchandising when business needs arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated adaptability to changing delivery situations.
- Driving record must adhere to the company's standard.
- Valid state driver’s license is required, and candidates must meet driving eligibility standards.
- Preferred: Familiarity with automotive parts and light store equipment.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is a plus.
