Title : Test Lead

Job Site : Hybrid onsite in Minneapolis MN or Denver CO

Will consider 100% remote for top tier candidates that has Industry experience or looking for only locals that can work onsite / Hybrid in MN or CO

Date Range : 1 year

Contract Type : Contract Only

Responsible for evaluating and testing software for completeness quality correctness and security. Develops test plans and test cases. Develops automated tests. Performs manual and automated tests for software functionality installation and usability. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Manages bugs and error tracking. Documents and presents test results to management. Coordinates and prioritizes testing of application modifications and bug fixes. Works with multiple development teams and software projects. Experience with a test tracking software package is desired.

Job Details and Requirements

Scope of Work / Project Overview :

  • Support for one primary project : ADERMS Aggregator Virtual Power Plant (AVPP).
  • Lead testing efforts including writing and executing SIT and UAT test cases.
  • Manage testers maintain JIRA space and report testing status to PMs and leadership.

Typical Day :

  • Execute and manage test cases.
  • Run daily or twice-daily testing meetings.
  • Interface with PMs BAs architects and vendors.
  • Maintain dashboards and contribute to project team activities.

    • Candidate Details

    Top Skills and Qualifications :

  • Strong communication and executive presence.
  • Experience running meetings as the primary facilitator and reporting to leadership.
  • Strong JIRA experience (setup and execution).
  • Waterfall methodology experience.
  • Utility experience preferred.
  • Writing test cases (no automation or scripting).
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

    • Non-Technical Skills :

  • Resilient flexible team player.
  • Problem solver conflict resolution.
  • Self-starter with initiative.

    • Ideal Background :

  • 7 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in large enterprise environments.
  • Regulatory or process-heavy industries (e.g. Medtronic Boston Scientific).

    • Preferred Companies / Certifications :

  • Medtronic Boston Scientific.
  • No specific certifications required.
