Locum Tenens Psychiatrist Opportunity - Near Winston-Salem, NC

We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity near Winston-Salem, NC. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment with experienced staff. The position requires coverage on a scheduled basis with no call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Position Details :

  • Specialty : Psychiatry
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, no weekends
  • Shift : Standard day shift, 8 hours (8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM)
  • Coverage Type : Scheduled with no call responsibilities
  • Block Scheduling : Not required

Support Staff :

  • 3 APPs in UC / observation unit
  • Either an APP or resident in the FBC
  • APP in each ED unit

    • Work Responsibilities :

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) : Tele-psych capabilities available
  • Average Patient Load :

    • Group size : 6 patients

  • Urgent care : 10-20 patients daily
  • Patient Age Group :

    • UC : Ages 5 and above

  • Patients under 16 requiring observation or FBC services will be referred to another facility nearby.

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Psychiatry required
  • State License : North Carolina
  • Certifications : BLS and DEA required
  • Experience : Must be comfortable triaging children and adolescents.
  • Vaccinations : Mandatory
