Responsibilities You Will Embrace
  • Performing thorough patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic procedures, and developing personalized care strategies
  • Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently (based on your credentialing)
  • Providing education to patients and families on wellness, prevention, and managing diseases
  • Prescribing medications and therapies following your scope of practice

  • Maintaining precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background Needed
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications You Should Hold
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
