Role : Dining Services Manager

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the food service program, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment while utilizing HCSG's provided software.
  • Provide staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; assist in the roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
  • Effectively communicate directives from client managers and building administrators to HCSG staff.
  • Ensure personal safety by using protective gear and handling cleaning solutions properly; report equipment issues promptly.
  • Adhere to infection control and sanitation standards, including regular handwashing procedures.
  • Demonstrate timely attendance and complete tasks punctually.
  • Promote HCSG positively through courteous interactions with coworkers, supervisors, clients, residents, and guests.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, with a focus on food service or restaurant management preferred.
  • Two years of proven experience in quantity food production / service and personnel supervision preferred.
  • Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred or as mandated by state and county regulations.
  • Must obtain the Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
  • Must acquire Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with staff, residents, and management.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
  • Candidates must be able to lift / carry up to 50 pounds and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks consistently is necessary.
  • Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining records and completing reports are required.
  • Attendance in an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Residency within the service area is mandatory.
