Security Officer - Transit Patrol

As a Security Officer - Transit Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a transportation-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your responsibilities. You will be a visible presence, communicating with the public and supporting a secure environment, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify any unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the overall security-related posture of the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local staff and emergency personnel as needed to address incidents and / or support emergency response activities.
  • Remain visible and approachable to assist travelers, employees, and visitors with questions or concerns related to security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
