Key Responsibilities
Drug Screening & Compliance (Primary Duty)
- Conduct drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with company policies, DOT guidelines, and client requirements.
- Ensure proper chain-of-custody procedures are followed for all specimens.
- Accurately document, track, and submit testing results within required timeframes.
- Maintain and organize testing supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Communicate with clients, employees, and supervisors regarding testing procedures and results as appropriate.
- Support compliance audits and maintain readiness for inspections.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Duties
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency care for workplace incidents, illnesses, and injuries.
- Document all patient care encounters in compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and company standards.
- Assist with safety initiatives and site-specific emergency response programs.
- Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and equipment.
Office Administration Duties
- Manage scheduling, timesheets, and staffing coordination for on-site personnel.
- Serve as primary contact for site communications, including phone calls, emails, and reporting.
- Prepare and submit required reports, logs, and compliance documentation.
- Support onboarding of new employees, including orientation and administrative paperwork.
- Order and track office supplies, organize files, and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Current EMT certification (State and/or National Registry) required.
- Certification in drug/alcohol screening (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in EMT, healthcare, or occupational health.
- Prior administrative/office management experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of drug testing protocols, OSHA, HIPAA, and DOT compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational, recordkeeping, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR/record systems.
Work Environment
- Primarily office and clinic environment with drug screening and administrative responsibilities.
- Occasional emergency medical response as needed.
- May require flexible hours depending on testing schedules or site needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods while performing screenings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform EMT-related physical tasks when required.
Frequent computer and administrative work.
